Good Reads for Business Owners

Updated: Feb 28, 2023

I don't know about you, but I'm a BIG book reader- I always have one on my night stand or in my bag for those little moments I can steal away. Even if you don't like reading, audiobooks are a great way to improve and build skills, especially while on-the-go.

This week, I've compiled a list of some great books that could really help spark inspiration in your life, whether you're stagnant in your business or have yet to launch that big idea!

When I studied abroad in Scotland, I had an entrepreneurship class that required us to form a fake business and plan it from top to bottom. This book was our bible. I remember sitting in the glass-enclosed library, snow coming down, pouring through the pages and filling out the model for our make believe business. It's a great tool to use when you're writing your business plan and can really serve as a guide when determining if your idea will work.

The Hustle Economy was such an easy, inspiring read. I blew through this book, laughing and coming out ready to work my butt off. Each chapter is a different person's perspective of succeeding in the real world and what it took. It proves that if you have enough drive, you can make it happen.

Speaking of working your butt off, Jen Sincero demonstrates the importance of that mindset in her book. It's funny and it's real! Since the original book, Sincero has written more, which I'm excited to get my hands on.

There are so many books out there, and I'm sure we will share more! In the meantime, do you have any books that inspire you?
